Recently some corporate clients received a fraudulent email, appearing to have been sent from NACHA – the Electronic Payment Association. This fraudulent e-mail contains the subject line:
“Rejected ACH Transaction”
It indicates an ACH transaction was rejected an corporate clients should review the transaction by clicking on the provided hyperlink.
This hyperlink directs the corporate client to a potentially malicious web site designed to appear as the official NACHA web site. If visited, this fraudulent web site could be used to install malware on the corporate client’s workstation.
NACHA has informed us this email did not originate from NACHA and any recipient of this e-mail should not click on the provided hyperlink.
Below is a sample of the fraudulent e-mail sent to corporate clients
